Chinese Taipei Dominate the Asia Korfball4 Championships 2026 in Bangkok

The IKF U19/U16/U14 Asia Korfball4 Championships 2026 concluded on 31 July in Bangkok, Thailand, after six days of high-intensity action at venues in the Thai capital, with Chinese Taipei emerging as the clear powerhouse of the competition.

Hosted by the Korfball Association of Thailand in collaboration with IKF Asia, the tournament brought together young talent from across the continent in the fast-paced Korfball4 format. Teams competed in both the 1 Korf and 2 Korfs disciplines across the U19, U16, and U14 age groups.

Chinese Taipei’s squads delivered a near-perfect campaign, securing first place in every 1 Korf category and all but one of the 2 Korfs divisions. Their depth, technical quality, and consistency under pressure underlined their status as Asia’s leading youth korfball nation.

The sole exception came in the U14 2 Korfs final, where Malaysia produced a gritty performance to defeat Hong Kong China 15-10. The tightly contested match showcased the growing competitiveness in the youngest age group, with Malaysia edging a determined Hong Kongese side to claim the gold medal.
