Belgium then converted from the penalty spot to open the scoring, 1-0 with seven minutes to play. Another penalty extended the lead to 2-0, but Chinese Taipei quickly replied with a medium-range shot, 2-1. They then scored from a free pass to close the first quarter at 5-4.

Joke (7) opened the second quarter with a running-in shot, followed by a medium-range goal from Jarre (29) to give Belgium a 7-4 lead within the first two minutes. Belgium added another, while Chinese Taipei struggled to convert, 8-4 with six minutes left. Ya-Wen (1) hit a long shot to keep her team in touch at 8-5, but Belgium struck again to lead 9-5 at the break.

Pei-Yun (4) cut inside to reduce the gap to 9-6 early in the third quarter, but Belgium answered with a long shot for 10-6. Joke scored another from distance for the biggest gap of the game, 11-6, before Ya-Wen responded for 11-7. Pei-Yun then scored twice in quick succession — a running-in shot and another close-range finish — bringing the score to 11-9. Kian (36) restored a three-goal cushion for Belgium at 12-9 heading into the final quarter.

Ya-Wen struck immediately to make it 12-10, igniting the crowd. Jarre hit a tough long shot, and Lisa Godelieve (5) added a medium-range effort to push Belgium ahead 14-10. Pei-Yun replied for 15-12, prompting Belgium to call a time-out with five minutes left. Jarre scored right after the restart, and another Belgian medium-range goal extended the lead to 17-12. Chinese Taipei converted a free pass for 17-13 with two minutes remaining, but Belgium closed strongly to secure a 19-13 win and a place in the final.
