9/8/2025 – The Netherlands opened the game in style, scoring three quick goals before Chinese Taipei finally found the target with two minutes left in the first quarter to make it 3-1. Both sides then traded a flurry of medium- and long-range shots despite tight defensive pressure, with the Dutch holding a 9-5 lead after the first quarter.

The physical intensity rose in the second quarter, but Chinese Taipei stood their ground. Goals came from both ends, yet the Netherlands’ speed and accuracy kept them ahead 14-8 with five minutes left in the half. Taipei could not close the gap, and the Dutch continued to score steadily from distance, taking a 17-11 advantage into halftime.

The momentum stayed firmly with the Netherlands in the third quarter. Strong rebounding gave them second and third shooting opportunities, stretching the lead to 26-14 heading into the final period.

With dominance under the post translating into a steady stream of scoring chances, the Netherlands closed out a convincing 33-18 victory.
