The second quarter began with both sides adding just one goal in the first five minutes, 4-6. Belgium then found their range as Lisa (4) and Kian (36) scored from medium distance to stretch the lead to 4-8. The gap widened further, with Belgium taking an 6-11 advantage into halftime.
Scoring remained tight in the third quarter, with each team managing just one goal in the first seven minutes. Suriname continued to battle, but Belgium maintained control, leading 8-14 at the break.
In the final quarter, both teams defended strongly, keeping the scores low. Suriname could not close the five-goal gap, trailing 10-15 with five minutes remaining. The crowd roared when Thomas (18) hit a long shot with three minutes left to make it 11-15, but that proved to be the last goal of the match. Belgium held firm to secure the win.
