Cameroon joins IKF as 66th member
The IKF Executive Committee has recognized the Association Camerounaise de Korfball as its 66th member. The recognition is subject to ratification by the General Meeting on November 7 in Antwerp.
Korfball has been played for more than two years now in Cameroon, initially in Bafang, supported by the Foundation Bafang Kids. Over the past year, a structure has been set up and recently the ACK received official recognition of the Ministry of Sports of the Central African Country. Korfball in Africa appears to be on the rise, as earlier this year the IKF recognised Ivory Coast after having recognized Ghana last year.
