IKF Europa Cup 2018

From Thursday 11 January till Saturday 13 January 2018 the 52nd IKF Europa Cup final round korfball event will be played in Catalonia with 8 national champion club teams from Europe.
The Federacio Catalania de Korfball (FCK) is the 2018 organiser. The FCK will organize the IKF ECup in Platja d’ Aro (Costa Brava - Girona), in the Palau d’ Esports i Congressos Platja d’ Aro.

IKF Europa Cup 2018 Tournament Rules
- Thursday 11 and Friday 12 January 2 * 17 minutes Real Playing Time (RPT)
- Saturday 13 January 2 * 25 minutes RPT
- Half time: Thursday and Friday 4 minutes / Saturday 10 minutes.
- Time out: Thursday and Friday: Each team will be allowed one (1) time out / Saturday: Each team will be allowed two (2) time outs. Time outs can be requested at any time when play is stopped
- Substitutions: Thursday and Friday: Each team will be allowed a maximum of 6 (reversible) substitutions / Saturday: Each team 8 reversible substitutions
- Thursday and Friday: If scores are level after the end of normal time “Golden Goal” period of extra time shall be played with a maximum length of 5 minutes RPT.
- Saturday: If scores are level after the end of normal time a “Golden Goal” period of extra time shall be played with a maximum length of 10 minutes RPT.
- If there is no winner after the “Golden Goal” period, then the match shall be determined by penalties; Thursday and Friday penalties are taken in pairs and immediate sudden death. Saturday with all eight players from the end of the “Golden Goal” period taking penalties.
