
IKF Korfball World Congress 2019

The next IKF Korfball World Congress will take place on August 7 and August 8 in the Garden Court Marine Parade Hotel, Durban, South Africa, during the IKF World Korfball Championship 2019.
This year's edition of the congress aims to promote the sharing of experiences and ideas among IKF members focusing on two main themes: Global Korfball Development and Strengthening Our National Organisations.
The registration for the IKF Korfball World Congress is still open until 8 July 2019 and it must be done by email to office@ikf.org

During the IKF Korfball World Congress we will have speakers from the IKF and also speakers from IKF members, who will share their experiences.

Speakers from the IKF Members:
Alexandre Silva (BRA)
Chairman of the Federação de Corfebol do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre is also in charge of the commission for the development of Korfball projects and championships in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and member of the board of IKF-America Initiative.
He was five times in the Brazilian National Team and is a player in the team of "Rio Corfebol"
Ellen Pearce (ENG)
Ellen is responsible for the strategic direction of England Korfball, has recently put in place a new five year strategy and overseen the development of our fundraising strategy which prioritises funding for the Grand Finals, junior development, work-place engagement and the international squads. Ellen was previously on the National Panel for the England Korfball Inspired (EKI) club accreditation programme and a club Chair. Professionally, Ellen has a background in charity management. She was CEO of a Cambridge based career development charity until 2016 and her role included fundraising and business development. She is now a founding Director of the Lancaster Community Sports Hub, works for England Netball and also does consultancy work for a sustainable living social enterprise.
Iwona Żak (POL)
Iwona is the Secretary General of the Polish Korfball Association since 2018, after being a member of the Board for several years.
During the World Games 2017 in Wrocław she was LOC member responsible for the Korfball competition.
Theo Van Der Linde (NED)
Theo Van Der Linde is the President of the Swan Fund since 2010 and a former member of the Dutch Korfball Association (KNKV) for Development, Education and International Korfball. He is a member of the IKF Development and Education Committee.
Tim Miller (AUS)
Tim Miller is the current IKF Oceania Vice-President and serves on the IKF Competitions Committee, he has completed both his IKF and Korfball Australia Level 3 Coaching Certicates and is a Korfball Australia Level 2 Referee. He is the current National Coach of the Australian Korfball Team, Head Coach at Glenelg Korfball Club and Junior Development Coordinator of Korfball South Australia, and has been actively coaching and refereeing in Australia since 1991. He regularly mentors new and developing coaches and referees.
Yves Daelmans (BEL)
Yves Daelmans, member of the board of directors of the KBKB (Royal Belgian Korfball Federation) and responsible for top-level korfball, including all the national teams and talent development as of U13, and internal & external communication, including marketing. Professionally he is an ICT manager, so given his background and roles within the federation he is strongly involved in the digital transformation of the Belgian federation.
