10/8/2026 – Catalonia made a strong statement at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026, defeating China 24–9 in a convincing performance in Nilai.

Catalonia controlled the match from the opening exchanges, combining patient build-up play with effective finishing around the korf. Their movement in attack repeatedly created clear shooting opportunities, while their defensive organisation made it difficult for China to establish a consistent rhythm.

China showed flashes of promising attacking play, but struggled to convert enough of their opportunities. Catalonia’s pressure and disciplined defensive work gradually allowed them to establish a comfortable advantage.

The Catalans continued to increase the gap as the match progressed, maintaining their intensity through the third and fourth periods. With the result effectively secured before the final whistle, Catalonia remained composed and finished strongly to complete a 24–9 victory.
