14/8/2026 – Portugal U21 secured an important 15–8 victory over Germany U21 at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026 in Nilai, Malaysia. The result gives Portugal a valuable boost as the classification phase continues.

The match developed into a competitive battle, with both teams working hard to create opportunities around the korf. Portugal gradually gained control through disciplined attacking play and effective ball movement, while Germany struggled to convert enough of their chances to stay within reach.

Portugal’s defensive organisation also played an important role, limiting Germany’s scoring opportunities and allowing the Portuguese side to build their advantage as the match progressed. Germany continued to compete and found the basket on several occasions, but Portugal remained composed and protected their lead through the closing stages.

The final 15–8 scoreline gives Portugal a seven-goal victory and a positive finish to their campaign. Germany, meanwhile, will look to respond in their remaining classification matches.
