13/8/2026 – Türkiye U21 strengthened their position in Pool G with a 16–10 victory over Hong Kong China U21 at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026 in Nilai, Malaysia. The result leaves Türkiye and Hong Kong China level on six points in the pool, with Türkiye moving ahead on goal difference.

Hong Kong China made a competitive start, with Tsun Sing Yu and Yee Lam Chan finding the basket as the Asian side remained within touching distance. Türkiye, however, gradually established control and took a 10–7 lead into half-time.

The Turkish side continued to apply pressure after the interval. Remziye Nisa Kazak opened the second-half scoring before Türkiye extended their advantage through goals from Hüseyin Öztürk and Erva Duman. Hong Kong China responded through Tsz Lam Yu and Xinyi Huang, but Türkiye maintained a clear advantage.

Türkiye’s attacking efficiency proved decisive in the final stages. Duman scored her third goal of the match, while Öztürk added another and Ahmet Kanat also found the basket as Türkiye moved to 15–10 before closing out the 16–10 victory.

Erva Duman finished as Türkiye’s leading scorer with four goals, while Eylem Özel, Ahmet Kanat and Hüseyin Öztürk each contributed three. For Hong Kong China, Tsun Sing Yu led the scoring with three goals.
