10/8/2026 – Belgium continued their impressive start to the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026 with a convincing 44–10 victory over Japan in Pool B at the N9 Arena.

Belgium controlled the contest from the opening whistle, combining quick circulation, strong movement around the korf and efficient finishing to build a substantial lead. Their attacking pressure was matched by an organised defence that repeatedly disrupted Japan’s attempts to develop sustained attacking phases.

Japan continued to compete and showed persistence despite the difficult circumstances. They managed to find the korf ten times, but Belgium’s defensive organisation and attacking efficiency proved too strong as the gap continued to grow.

The 44–10 victory follows Belgium’s emphatic 41–8 win over China and their 30–10 success against Catalonia, giving the Belgians a perfect record in Pool B.
