13/8/2026 – China U21 produced a composed finish to defeat hosts Malaysia U21 15–14 in a closely contested second-group-stage encounter at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026 in Nilai, Malaysia.

With both sides determined to secure an important result, the match developed into a tight contest in which neither team was able to establish a decisive advantage. Malaysia, backed by strong home support, continued to challenge China throughout, while the Chinese attack remained patient in its search for scoring opportunities.

The final stages delivered the tension expected from a one-goal game. Malaysia pushed for an equaliser, but China held their composure under pressure to protect their narrow lead and claim a valuable 15–14 victory.

The result gives China an important three points in the second group stage and moves them level with Thailand on three points in Pool H, while Malaysia remain on six points at the top of the pool.
