14/8/2026 – The Netherlands U21 continued their strong run at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026 with a 14–10 victory over Chinese Taipei U21 in Nilai, Malaysia. The result keeps the Dutch side firmly in contention at the top of their pool.

The Netherlands made an excellent start, moving 5–1 ahead after the opening quarter. Robin Bakker was particularly influential early on, scoring three of his team’s first five goals, while Isa Dik added a penalty to give the Dutch a strong platform. Chinese Taipei responded in the second quarter, but the Netherlands still took a 9–4 lead into half-time.

Chinese Taipei showed greater attacking consistency after the interval. Tzu-Yen Ho and Yuan-Hao Chen helped reduce the deficit, while Pei-Yun Wu converted from the penalty spot. The Asian side won the third quarter 4–3, but the Netherlands remained in control at 12–8 heading into the final period.

The Netherlands then managed the closing stages well. Rosalie Peet scored twice in the final quarter, including the crucial 14th goal, while Chinese Taipei added two late goals of their own. The Dutch defence held firm to secure a four-goal victory.

Robin Bakker led all scorers with five goals, while Isa Dik contributed four. Rosalie Peet added two for the Netherlands. Chinese Taipei were led by Tzu-Yen Ho, Yu-Ju Wu and Yuan-Hao Chen with two goals apiece.
