NILAI, Malaysia – 16 August 2026 – Chinese Taipei U21 claimed the bronze medal at the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship 2026, overcoming New Zealand U21 in the third-place play-off in Nilai.

The bronze-medal encounter brought together two sides that had already made history during an outstanding championship. New Zealand had reached the medal matches after a memorable run, while Chinese Taipei were seeking to add another world-level medal to their impressive record at U21 level. The match was played at the Selangor National Sports Complex on the final day of the nine-day championship.

Chinese Taipei entered the contest with the experience of having competed consistently among the world’s leading U21 teams, while New Zealand had demonstrated throughout the tournament that they could match that level.
