Match report

NILAI, Malaysia – 10 August 2026 – Chinese Taipei U21 maintained their perfect start to the IKF U21 World Korfball Championship with a convincing 22–8 victory over Thailand in Pool C on Monday afternoon.

Chinese Taipei took control early and never allowed Thailand to establish the rhythm needed to challenge for the win. Their attacking variety and efficient finishing repeatedly opened up opportunities, while a disciplined defensive performance kept Thailand at arm’s length.

Thailand, who had shown plenty of promise in their opening two matches, continued to compete and found the net eight times. However, Chinese Taipei’s ability to turn possession into goals consistently widened the gap as the match progressed.

The victory is another strong statement from a Chinese Taipei side that has now defeated Malaysia, Portugal and Thailand in succession. They have scored 69 goals in three matches , while conceding just 30, and sit firmly at the top of Pool C with six points .

For Thailand, the result leaves them without a point after three matches, following narrow defeats against Portugal and Malaysia before today’s encounter. With the pool stage approaching its conclusion, they will need a strong final performance to finish their campaign on a positive note.
