6.5 To hand the ball to another player of one’s own team

Whenever a player hands the ball to another player of one’s own team without the ball having neither first moved freely through the air or it was free on the ground.

If two players of the same team seize the ball at almost the same time and one of these players then take his hands off the ball, it can never be considered to be an infringement of this rule.
