IOC President plays korfball

Sunday 11 October 2015 Mr Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee, participated in a small korfball match in Lausanne, Switzerland.

He visited the 35th edition of the Generation Games in front of the Olympic Museum. Korfball was well represented for the first time in the Generation Games and Mr Bach spontaneously decided to become a player as well as IKF Senior Vice-President, Mr Frans Walvis. Korfballclub Lausanne organised this korfball representation in the Generation Games 2015.

Mr Bach and Mr Walvis showed their sportmanship and the other players from Switzerland and the Netherlands coached by former Dutch record international Mr Leon Simons were enthusiastic as well.
