Youth Beach Korfball Tournament at The Beach 15 June

The Dutch will celebrate the International Youth Korfball Day with a beach korfball tournament. What is more fun than combining your favourite sport with your favourite location? Beach and korfball make a fine match, that certainly goes to show from the increasing number of participants in the games and clinics that have lately taken place. Not to mention the growing crowds that come to watch them. And of course, enthusiastic messages on social media also indicate that more and more korfball players choose to play on sand in summer.

Therefore, on 15 June a Youth Beach Korfball Tournament will take place in The Beach in Aalsmeer, as part of the ‘2013 Year of the Korfball Youth’. Contestants are all between the age of 9 and 18. Their supporters, however, are of all ages. The more people come to support the teams, the merrier the ‘beach’ will be.

The Beach in Aalsmeer consists mainly of indoor beach courts, but also has some outdoor courts, which is where the games will be played in good weather. Music, sand, lots of fun people, enthusiastic athletes and hopefully sun, will provide you the ultimate beach vibe and guarantee you an amazing Beach Korfball day!
