IKF U21 EKC 2019: The Semifinalists are known!


The cross finals and semifinalists of the IKF U21 European Korfball Championship 2019 are known at the end of the group phase. Belgium and England will play on Friday, October 18th, the 1st semifinal at 15:00 and The Netherlands and Germany the other semifinal at 16:45. Portugal vs Catalonia at 11:30 and Czech Republic vs Hungary at 13:45 will fight for places between 5th and 8th.

IKF U21 EKC 2019 – Group phase updated final results & final ranking pools


From 15 to 19 October the IKF U21 European Korfball Championship 2019 is taking place in Prostějov, Czech Republic. Eight top U21 national squads are competing to be the new u21 European champion and for a place in the next IKF U21 World Korfball Championship that will be played from 11 to 18 July 2020 in Chinese Taipei (more info).

From 13 to 15 September 2019 the Korfball ‘Champions League’ for European club teams will start in France. Eight national champions will compete in the city of Saint-Étienne in the 1st Round of the IKF Europa Cup 2020.

The two best teams of this event will qualify for the IKF Europa Cup Final Round that will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 9 to 11 January 2020. They will join the six countries that already secured their spot for their national champions during the 2019 IKF Europa Cup edition.

This summer event patronized by the IKF included an indoor korfball competition as well as a beach korfball tournament.

Portugal and U19 Belgium are the new 2019 IKF Beach Korfball World Cup (Europe) champions!

The IKF Beach Korfball World Cup (Europe) 2019 has come to an end with Portugal raising the champions cup in the senior competition and Belgium in the U19. During the weekend of 6-7 July in the French city of Bonson, teams from eight different countries competed to become the 2019 European Beach Korfball champions.

 

On Day 2 the seniors played their last matches in the preliminary round, then continued with the semifinals and the finals. Portugal played the final against The Netherlands and won by penalty shots, after still level score in overtime. The U19 teams played the quarterfinals in a pool format, after which they continued with the semifinals and finals. The U19 Belgium 1 team beated The Netherlands U19 in the final by 6-4.

On Day 1, the majority of the preliminary matches for the seniors were played. The last match for each team was played on Sunday. After the preliminary round, the teams were be divided into those who were playing for places 5-8 and those who were playing for places 1-4. The semifinals and finals were played on Sunday.

In the U19 category, all preliminary matches were played on Saturday, after which they were divided into 2 pools. Bonson is ready for the IKF Beach Korfball World Cup (Europe): 7-8 July 2019

Next Saturday starts the IKF Beach Korfball World Cup (Europe) 2019 in Bonson, France. During the weekend of 6-7 July, teams from eight different countries will compete to become the 2019 European Beach Korfball champions.

On Day 1, the majority of the preliminary matches for the seniors are played. The last match for each team is played on Sunday. After the preliminary round, the teams will be divided into those who will be playing for place 5-8 and those who will be played for place 1-4. The semifinals and finals will all be played on Sunday.

In the U19 category, all preliminary matches will be played on Saturday, after which they will be divided into 2 pools. Host countries IKF European Korfball Championship 2020 A & B known

The IKF is happy to announce the host countries for the two IKF European Korfball Championship’s that will be held in 2020.

First of all Belgium has been elected to be the host of the IKF European Korfball Championship A. This event will take place in the first week of November and will contain the Top-8 countries of last European Championship 2018 in Friesland, The Netherlands.

Secondly Poland has been elected to be the host of the IKF European Korfball Championship B. This event will take place the second week of October and will contain the numbers 9 until 14 of the last European Championship 2018, completed by the best two teams of the IKF EKC First Round that will be held later this year.

The exact dates of both events will be communicated shortly.
