Year of Youth presents an opportunity in Hong Kong

Youth korfball player numbers have increased steadily in Hong Kong in recent years. During the “Year of the Korfball Youth” the Hong Kong China Korfball Association (HKCKA) aims to increase the promotion of korfball to schools, targeting young people aged 10-23, including primary, secondary and tertiary school students.

HKCKA has a dual aim: to raise the popularity of korfball among young people; and to increase the numbers participating, at both the competitive and the leisure level.

A series of demonstrations will be offered, covering a basic introduction to the game of korfball, demonstrating basic korfball skills such as shooting, one-on-one attack and defence. These demonstrations will provide schools and students a gateway to become familiar with and interested in the sport of korfball.

In the “Year of the Korfball Youth” HKCKA aims to complete at least 15 demonstrations
