IWGA Vice President Bishop to present korfball medals
The International Korfball Federation is very proud to announce that tonight’s medals in the korfball competition of The World Games will be presented by Max Bishop, Vice-President of the International World Games Federation.
IKF President Jan Fransoo will accompany Mr Bishop in the Medal Ceremony: “As President of the IKF, and on behalf of the entire korfball delegation here at The World Games, I am extremely happy that Mr Bishop has accepted our invitation to present the medals tonight. Korfball has been continuously on the program of The World Games since 1985.”
The medal ceremony will be conducted at the WKK Sports Center in Wroclaw, immediately following the gold medal match. The gold medal match will start at 19:00, while the medal ceremony is expected to take place around 20:15. Netherlands will play against Chinese Taipei to contest the gold medal – a historic line-up, as it is the first time in the history of The World Games that an Asian country will play in the gold-medal match of the korfball tournament. The match will be broadcasted live in many countries worldwide, while in some other countries it will be a delayed broadcast. In countries without any public braodcasting, the match can be accessed via worldkorfball.org
