Taiwanese women join Dalto, DVO in Netherlands’ league
Three female players from Taiwan will play this season in the Netherlands’ Korfball League, the strongest club competition in the world. Ya-Wen “Wen” Lin (21) and Chou-Ying “Joyce” Li (26) will join Dalto, while Dan-Lin “Alice” Huang will join DVO.
The three players will bring international experience to the two teams in the Korfball League, and are part of the Chinese Taipei national team that will compete in this year’s IKF World Korfball Championship in Belgium.
Lin has played for Chinese Taipei in the World Games in 2013 in Colombia, the IKF Asia-Oceania Korfball Championship in 2014 in Hong Kong, twice in the IKF Asia-Oceania Korfball Championship, the IKF University World Cup and the IKF U23 World Korfball Championship.
Li has played for Chinese Taipei in the same events, but in addition played at the 2007 and 2011 IKF World Championships and is the most experienced female players of the Asian champion.
Huang has played for Chinese Taipei in the IKF Asia-Oceania Korfball Championship in 2014 in Hong Kong and the IKF University World Cup in 2015 in England. She is also an international referee and officiated in this year’s IKF Asia-Oceania U23 Championship in Taiwan.
