The first IKF Asia U19 & U16 Korfball4 Championships will take place from 20 – 23 August 2015. The events are played in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The first IKF U23 Pan American Korfball Champion is the Dominican Republic. They beat in the final in Cali, Colombia the home team of Colombia by 18 – 14 and deserve the gold medal.
The Dominican Republic team qualifies for the IKF U23World Korfball Championship (IKF U23 WKC) in Olomouc, Czech Republic from 9 – 16 July 2016. This will be the first participation from the Dominican Republic in the IKF U23 WKC.
In the final of the IKF U23 AOKC Chinese Taipei won the gold medal and China the silver medal as the hosts won the final with a 30 – 14 score line to retain the trophy.
In the fight for third place Hong Kong China came from behind to once again win the bronze medal, beating Australia 20 – 17.

In the matches for places 5 to 8 of the IKF AOKC Indonesia defeated Macau China 19 – 15 to earn 7th place.
In the game itself a total of 62 goals were scored as India beat the Philippines 45 – 17 to earn 5th place. Despite their defeat, the Philippines should be congratulated on earning 6th place in their first ever IKF event.
The semi-finals of the event being held in Hsinchu (TPE) were held today. In the two matches being played to find those who would be competing for the gold medal, Chinese Taipei beat Australia 32 – 12 and China beat Hong Kong China 29 – 13.
This means that hosts Chinese Taipei will meet China in Sunday’s final. The bronze medal match between Australia and Hong Kong China will see the Australians seeking revenge for their one goal defeat (12 – 13) in the bronze medal match in the last edition of this event in 2011.
Playing for 5th place will be the Philippines who are playing in their first ever IKF event, having beaten Macau China 14 – 12. They will meet India who overcame Indonesia 25 – 11 in the other semi-final. The two losers play for 7th place. The matches for places 5 – 8 take place on Saturday 1 August.
as made today when both the referee and assistant referee were both female in a competition involving national selections. Megan Marks (AUS) and Alice Huang (TPE) officiated in the semi-final match between China and Hong Kong China in the IKF U23 AOKC.
There was a match led by two female officials before in an IKF club competition – IKF Europa Shield in 2012 – and one with a local referee assisting an officially appointed IKF referee but never with two officially appointed event referees from the IKF list.
The President and Secretary General of the IKF and the President and Secretary General of IKF Asia today met with the leadership of the newly established (interim) Indian Korfball Committee. The Committee will report to the IKF and IKF Asia and govern all matters relating to korfball in India following the suspension of the Korfball Federation of India by the IKF last month.
In the meeting, Mr Dilip Kumar, chairman of IKC, outlined the plans of the IKC to re-establish proper administration of korfball in India to ensure development of the sport within India and representation of India at international championships.
Mr Kumar expressed confidence that within the next period significant progress could be made, initially with matters of governance, allowing development and competition to resume, and subsequently increasing the competitiveness of the Indian national teams.
IKF President Fransoo and IKF Asia President Huang, to whom the IKC will be reporting until the situation has been normalized, expressed their confidence in the full Committee and its plans for the coming period.
7, 8 and 9 August 2015 the IKF U23 Pan American Korfball Championship (IKF U23 PAKC) plays in Cali, Colombia. The Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Colombia play to become the first IKF U23 Pan American Korfball Champion.
The winner qualifies for the IKF U23 World Korfball Championship (IKF U23 WKC) in 2016.
